Just a short, 30-minute drive Southeast of Las Vegas lies Lake Mead, one of the largest man-made lakes in the world. More than 100 miles long, Lake Mead National Recreation Area boasts 550 miles of shoreline and features numerous recreational opportunities such as swimming, boating, waterskiing, scuba diving, fishing and camping. Lake Mead is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Lake Mead’s Alan Bible Visitors Centers is open daily from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
