The beautiful Mt. Charleston Recreation Area offers an abundance of picnic areas, campsites and hiking trails, including the strenuous North Loop Trail, which winds for 10 miles to the summit of Mt. Charleston (elevation: 11,918 feet). Horseback riding and mountain biking opportunities are also available. During the winter months, enjoy superb skiing at the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboarding Resort. The Mt. Charleston Recreation Area is located approximately 45 miles Northwest of Las Vegas.
